ABOUT GAK

Geothermal Association of Kenya (GAK) is the national umbrella body representing stakeholders across Kenya’s geothermal sector, united by a shared mission to advance the sustainable development of geothermal energy.

Established in 2010 and registered under the Registrar of Societies, GAK works to encourage, facilitate, and promote coordination among industry players in geothermal research, development, and application—both locally and globally.

GAK is a non-political, non-governmental, and non-profit organization. It is also an affiliate member of the International Geothermal Association (IGA), aligning Kenya’s geothermal ambitions with global best practices and standards.

We are guided by professional ethics aimed at building an appropriate culture and creating the right competence.

We are committed to developing new products and services for the benefit of our members and industry stakeholders at large.

AGM

The Members’ Annual General Meeting is the top decision-making organ of GAK.

The AGM is held not later than six months after the financial year-end.

Members have the opportunity to review the previous 12 months and pass key decisions for the following year.
