Geothermal Association of Kenya (GAK) is the national umbrella body representing stakeholders across Kenya’s geothermal sector, united by a shared mission to advance the sustainable development of geothermal energy.
Established in 2010 and registered under the Registrar of Societies, GAK works to encourage, facilitate, and promote coordination among industry players in geothermal research, development, and application—both locally and globally.
GAK is a non-political, non-governmental, and non-profit organization. It is also an affiliate member of the International Geothermal Association (IGA), aligning Kenya’s geothermal ambitions with global best practices and standards.
